Earth

This is the element we are closest to home with. Earth doesn’t necessarily represent the physical Earth, but that part of it which is stable, solid, and dependable. It represents wisdom, practicality, ritual, knowledge, teaching, learning, patience, truth, and responsibility.

Air

Air is the element of the intellect, it is the realm of thought. It rules spells and rituals involving travel, instruction, freedom, obtaining knowledge, discovering lost items, uncovering lies, and so on. It also represents free mind, creativity, illumination, divination, stimulation, awareness, perception, communications, meditation, and focus.

Fire is the element of change, will and passion. It is the most primal. This is the realm of sexuality and passion. It is the spark of divinity which shines within us and all living things. It is the most physical and spiritual of the elements. It also represents faith and trust, innocence, vulnerability, strength, protection, relationships, renewal, healing, stress, love and courage.

Water is the element of purification, the subconscious mind, love and the emotions. It is constantly changing and flowing. It is the element of absorption and germination. It also represents inner knowing, self-knowledge, dreams, emotions, feelings, introspection, journeys, initiations, healing, balance, psychic work, spiritual renewal, communications, mediations and hibernation.
